Chandler - Stylist
Chandler began her career in a small town in northern Pennsylvania where she was born and raised. Her and her husband moved to the area in 2017 and decided Holly Ridge was the perfect place to raise their two boys! She enjoys beach days, checking out new local restaurants and businesses, and crafting in her (very little) spare time! Chandler specializes in balayage and hair painting techniques, low maintenance styles, and naturally curly hair. She prides herself in her ability to listen and ask questions to provide guests with exactly the color or style they are looking for. She will also educate you on maintenance and product usage to upkeep your gorgeous new look at home.
Joy - Salon Coordinator
Joy, originally from Louisville, Kentucky, recently retired with her husband and moved to North Carolina. She spent almost 25 years working in the retail industry with Party City before joining an AVEDA salon prior to moving here. On her days off, Joy likes to spend her time on the boat with her husband soaking up the sun. Joy has a passion for customer service and enjoys assisting clients when it comes to making appointments, answering questions, and anything else you may need. So much so, you can hear her enthusiasm and kindness through the phone when you call in.
Mackenzie - Salon Coordinator
Mackenzie is originally from California having moved here 7 years ago. She has been working at Lavish for just shy of 2 years and helps keep everyone on track. Mackenzie is dedicated to providing exceptional service for all of our clientele. When she is not assisting clients, managing schedules, taking phone calls, or tending to our boutique she loves to shop and enjoy the beach. Her dream is to go to medical school and become a surgeon but takes stride in being apart of a team who's goal is to improve confidence and inspire beauty. Mackenzie is committed to creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest that walks through our door.
Sharon - Master Stylist
Sharon is a master stylist with over 20 years’ experience. Education remains at the forefront of Sharon Kurz’s desire to remain on top of her game in the hairstyling industry. Through Aveda and Redken, Sharon is up to date with the latest cutting, coloring and styling trends. Sharon also has certifications in several smoothing treatments and as a certified colorist. Cutting curly hair is a specialty of Sharon’s and she has gained a certification in Deva Curl cutting technique. “As a former salon owner and current stylist, it is essential to understand all aspects of the industry” Sharon maintains. Her primary goal with every customer: to offer them classic styles with a lot of texture.
Haylee - Stylist
Haylee is an enthusiastic and charismatic stylist. She specializes in hair color, her absolute favorite services to provide are Lived-In Blonde’s and Gray-Blending. However, she enjoys all color services and providing the best hair for each and every one of her clients. She has lived in Holly Ridge for over half of her life. Haylee graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College and has been working with us ever since.
Jada - Esthetician
Jada is a North Carolina native and has been on our team for 5 years now. She upgraded her position from Salon Coordinator to Esthetician in 2023. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College and couldn't wait to start her career. While in school, she realized her passions were brows, lashes, facials, and advanced services. So, she brought them with her! Skin care if no longer considered a 'treat' but instead a 'necessity' within the world of beauty. Jada is very eager to bring this new set of skills to our salon. Her goal is to inspire beauty inside & out in every one of her clients.
Carah - Stylist
Carah is excited to be a member of the Lavish Hair & Spa team. She was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She has always had a passion for hair styling and hopes to bring this passion to her clients every day. Carah is a graduate of Coastal Carolina Community College Cosmetology and plans on continuing her education, adding to her already extensive knowledge of hair. She looks forward to bringing her clients a memorable service far beyond expectations and maintain client relationships.
Jayme - Stylist
Jayme was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to North Carolina in 2005 along with her husband and two sons. She has had a passion for hair and makeup since she was a little girl. Being creative and up-to-date with the latest beauty trends is extremely important to her. Making each client feel special during their service while helping them reach their “best hair” potential is a top priority. She looks forward to meeting you!

Kelly - Master Stylist/ Salon Owner
Kelly started her cosmetology career in 1988 and obtained her cosmetology instructor license in 2004. While supporting a military career for 29 years, Kelly worked in many prestigious salons, spas, cosmetic counters, and cosmetology schools from Washington , D.C., Arizona, Washington State, California, North Carolina, Germany, and Virginia. Finally settling in North Carolina, Kelly is excited to serve Holly Ridge and the surrounding areas. Kelly's passion for the industry lead her to open an Aveda Exclusive Salon. She enjoys coloring, highlighting, precision cutting, as well as styling hair!
Amber - Stylist
Amber was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She has always had a passion for hair and makeup ever since she was little. Amber graduated from Coastal Community College and is thrilled to continue her journey at Lavish Hair & Spa. She looks forward to accomplishing her clients hair expectations and watching them leave their appointments looking and feeling beautiful. Amber has a passion for coloring, blonding, and naturally curly hair. Amber is excited to meet you and see you in her chair!
Katelyn - Stylist
With a decade of hairstyling experience, I bring a blend of expertise and passion to the salon. My journey began with a swift rise, being recruited as an expert educator for Sexy Hair Company just 3 years into my career. During that time, I honed my skills in cutting and updos, traveling and collaborating with some of the industry’s most sought-after artists. Life took a wonderful turn when I became a mom, and I decided to settle down at a local salon. There, I specialized in lived-in color and mentored numerous assistants and interns. I also took the reins of the salon’s social media, showcasing our team’s talent and creativity. After a stint as a marketing director, I realized my true calling is in hairstyling. I’m thrilled to be back in the bustling salon environment, especially at an Aveda salon. Along with my lived in color, I also find joy in men’s cuts, the art of shampoo massages, and creating the perfect fringe. Outside the salon, I’m a proud mom to two silly kids, ages 5 and 2, and my loyal Belgian Malinois, Bear. My life is a balance of creativity, family, and a love for all things hair.
